New Volunteers: In order to sign up for a project, you must create a Hands On Bay Area online account.  After you create an account, you will need to view our online orientation, which takes 3-5 minutes.  Once you have created your account and viewed the orientation, you will be able to sign up for projects.  Click here to create an account.

Current Hands On Bay Area Members: If you want to sign-up for projects, a special event, or access your account, you first need to log-in using your email address as your ID. Use the password that you received via e-mail when you created your account. Click here to log in and/or have your password resent to your e-mail address.

I am having trouble logging in.
Please check that you have typed your full email address as your log-in and that you have correctly typed in your password. DO NOT cut and paste your ID or password from email. Type them by hand. If the problem persists, please email support@handsonbayarea.org.


I am having trouble registering for a project or a course.
You must log in to your Hands On Bay Area account before you can sign-up for a project. If you do not have a Hands On Bay Area account, you will not be able to sign up for projects. You must create an account and view our online orientation before you can sign up for projects. Click here to create an account and take the online orientation.


A message appears that states I have restrictions on my account.
There are three reasons your account may have restrictions.

	You may be under age for this specific project. All of our agency partners set an age minimum for each project. If you have not yet reached this minimum age, you will not be able to register for the project.  Click here for more information about youth volunteering.
	Your membership status may be pending the completion of our online orientation. If you have not viewed the orientation, log in to your account.  Click on the link that says, “View the online orientation.”  Click here to log in.
	If you have reached the minimum age for the project and you have already viewed the online orientation, your account may be restricted because we may not have the correct personal information, including your date of birth, in your account. To verify and update your personal information, log in to your account.  Then, click on the tab that says, “Personal Information.”  Required fields are marked with an orange asterisk. Click here to log in.
