What is Hands At Work?

What is the Hands At Work Program?

HandsOn Bay Area has made a commitment to the Bay Area corporate community by guiding companies through the often-unfamiliar territory of volunteer service and community service project planning. Utilizing our vast network of agency partnerships and planning expertise, we are able to custom-design an ongoing volunteer program or one-time event, specifically tailored to the needs and interests of your company. Hands On prepares and executes all aspects of the service project. Our ultimate goal is to design a seamlessly planned project, so all that your team has to do is show up, work and have fun.

gardeningHandsOn Bay Area's fee-based consulting services include:

Identify and recruit agencies across
the Bay Area that can utilize the
volunteer support of your employees;

Coordinate all logistics concerning
the volunteer project including site
inspection, acquisition of project
materials, and on-site volunteer
orientation & leadership;

Assist your company with coordin-
ation of recruitment efforts internally;

Track employee volunteer hours;

Provide support to the staff members
who are coordinating other logistics
such as transportation, internal
communication, etc.

What is the cost of participating
in the Hands At Work program?

HandsOn Bay Area is a nonprofit organization supported by corporate sponsors, private donations and Foundation support. We offer quality volunteer programs to corporate groups on a fee for service basis. Due to the level of customization available to each corporate partner, projects and programs are quoted on a case-by-case basis. The range for most Hands At Work projects and program can be anywhere between $2,500 and $75,000 depending on complexity, project requirements, number of participants and time of year. Reoccurring programs are available. The money generated from the Hands At Work program supports HandsOn Bay Area's year-round volunteer programs.

What are the benefits of the Hands At Work program?
Companies participating in the Hands At Work program report heightened employee morale and loyalty, as well as a stronger, more positive corporate image in the community. Fostering employee volunteerism is a creative and powerful team-building tool that will pay dividends long after the project is complete.
